Terms
Last updated 29 September 2026
The short version. Triplogue gathers the trips you’ve booked into one timeline. It’s free and still in testing. It reads your confirmations, but it doesn’t book, change or check you in for anything. Always check the original booking before you travel. We’re not affiliated with the airlines, hotels or booking sites it reads.
That summary is there to be useful. It isn’t the agreement. The sections below are what governs.
1. Agreement
- Who it’s between. These Terms are a contract between you and Blacktop Social LLC (“Blacktop Social,” “we,” “us”) for the Triplogue iPhone app (“Triplogue”). By using Triplogue, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
- Privacy. Our Triplogue Privacy Policy is part of these Terms and says what happens to your information.
- The App Store. If you got Triplogue from the App Store:
- Apple is not a party to these Terms and isn’t responsible for Triplogue or its support.
- Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these Terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.
- Apple’s App Store terms apply to your use of Triplogue too. Where they conflict with these Terms, Apple’s terms win for anything about Apple.
- The rest. If part of these Terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing something once doesn’t mean we’ve given it up. You can’t transfer these Terms. We can, as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business.
2. Testing and availability
- Triplogue is prerelease software. It’s shared with a small group through TestFlight, and it isn’t in the App Store yet.
- Features may change, break or disappear without notice, and the app may lose data. Keep your original confirmations.
- Some features described in the app aren’t live yet, such as sharing trips and invite links.
- Triplogue is free. There is nothing to buy, so there is nothing to refund. If we ever charge for something, we’ll show you the price and terms before you pay.
- We don’t promise that Triplogue will be released, or kept running.
3. Your account
- An account is optional. Triplogue works on your phone without one. Sign in with Apple or Google if you want your additions backed up and restored on a new phone.
- Age. You must be at least 13. If you’re under 18, use Triplogue only with a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
- Shared login. Your Triplogue login is part of Blacktop Social’s shared login system, so it may also work in our other apps.
- Your phone. You’re responsible for your phone and your sign-in. Anyone who can unlock your phone can see your trips.
- Closing accounts. You can delete your account at any time by emailing legal@blacktop.social (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account used to break these Terms.
4. Your content and bookings
- Yours stays yours. Your bookings, notes, photos and everything else you add belong to you. You let us store, back up and show that content back to you, and only to run Triplogue for you. We don’t claim anything else.
- Only add what you may use. Add only bookings and documents you have the right to use. That includes other travelers’ names and details on a shared booking.
- You’re responsible for accuracy. Triplogue reads confirmations, and reading can go wrong. Check every booking it shows you against the original.
- Triplogue does not book anything. It doesn’t change, cancel or check you in for anything, and it never contacts a provider for you. It is not a travel agent. To change a booking, contact the airline, host or site you booked with.
- Invites and sharing. When sharing goes live, you decide what each person sees, and you’re responsible for what you share. Boarding passes, passports and visas can’t be shared.
5. Third-party sites, airlines and hosts
- Not affiliated. Triplogue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any airline, rail or ferry company, hotel, host, or booking site. That includes Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia and Klook. It is also not affiliated with Google or Apple. Their names and trademarks belong to them and are used only to identify your bookings.
- Links go to them. The Check in button opens the airline’s own check-in page. Message host opens the host’s platform. Call opens your phone. What happens there is between you and them, under their terms.
- The original booking wins. The provider’s confirmation, app or website is the source of truth for times, gates, terminals, addresses, codes and entry rules. If Triplogue disagrees with it, trust the original.
- Gmail. Gmail is Google’s service. Connecting it is also covered by Google’s terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Triplogue to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or harass anyone;
- import documents or connect an email account you aren’t allowed to use;
- try to access another person’s account, backup or data;
- probe, overload or attack our servers, or get around our security;
- copy, modify, or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- claim to be affiliated with Blacktop Social.
Good-faith security research is welcome. Tell us at legal@blacktop.social before you tell anyone else, and don’t access or keep other people’s data. We won’t pursue researchers who act that way.
7. What’s ours
- Ours. Triplogue belongs to us or our licensors: the app, its code, design, writing and icons, and the name “Triplogue”. It is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.
- Your licence. We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Triplogue on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
- What you can’t do with it. You may not copy, sell, redistribute or build on Triplogue, or train machine-learning or AI models on it, without our written permission.
- Photos. Some photos in the app are from Unsplash and belong to their photographers under the Unsplash License.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything. Don’t send anything you need to keep private.
8. Disclaimers
Triplogue is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. That includes merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.
Details can be wrong. Triplogue may misread or miss things. That includes:
- dates, times, time zones and places;
- confirmation numbers, seats and barcodes;
- bookings it didn’t find in Gmail.
Check-in reminders depend on your phone’s settings and on Triplogue reading your flight correctly. Gap reminders (“no stay booked”) are guesses. Verify everything with the airline, host or booking site before you travel. We are not responsible for missed flights, check-ins, reservations or connections.
We don’t promise that Triplogue will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that your data will never be lost. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither Blacktop Social nor anyone working with it will be liable for:
- any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages;
- any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or travel costs such as missed flights or rebooking fees.
This applies to anything arising from Triplogue or these Terms, on any legal theory.
Our total liability for all claims about Triplogue or these Terms will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
10. Governing law
- Talk to us first. If something’s wrong, email legal@blacktop.social and give us 30 days to sort it out.
- New York law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
- New York courts. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought only in the state or federal courts in New York, and we each agree to their jurisdiction.
- Your local rights stay. If you’re a consumer whose local law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live, or under that law, this section doesn’t take that away.
- One year. Any claim about Triplogue must be brought within one year after it arises, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as Triplogue changes. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If a change matters, we’ll say so here before it applies. If you keep using Triplogue after a change, you accept it. If you don’t agree, stop using Triplogue and delete your account.
